New Year's Eve Bottle Service in London: What Changes for 2026

On New Year's Eve, London bottle service switches from minimum spends to prepaid packages, fixed menus and earlier deadlines. What changes for 2026 and what to check before you pay.

New Year's Eve bottle service in London works differently from every other night of the year. On a normal Friday or Saturday you agree a minimum spend, pay a deposit and order bottles on the night; on New Year's Eve most venues switch to prepaid packages, fixed menus and earlier deadlines. This guide explains what changes for New Year's Eve 2026, which falls on Thursday 31 December, and what to check before you pay.

The calendar matters this year. Friday 1 January 2027 is a bank holiday, according to GOV.UK's bank holiday list, so New Year's Eve runs into a long weekend and tends to run late.

From minimum spend to prepaid package

On a standard night, a table is sold as a minimum spend: you commit to spending a set amount on drinks and choose the bottles yourself. Our London club table price guide shows standard 2026 figures of around £600 to £1,000 for a floor table and £2,000 for a premium table at most of the clubs we cover, with The Box at £3,000. Those are normal-night figures, not New Year's Eve prices.

On New Year's Eve, venues usually price the night as an event rather than a table. That tends to mean one of three formats:

  • A table package with named bottles, mixers and entry for a set number of guests, sold at one fixed price.
  • Per-person tickets that include a drinks credit or a bar tab, with tables sold as an upgrade.
  • Dinner and party packages where the set menu, the drinks and the party are bundled together.

Recent listings show how varied this gets. For New Year's Eve 2025, Time Out listed W London at £195 for the celebration only and £295 for dinner and the celebration, including a £95 bar tab. The same year, Time Out's listing for New Year's Eve at Sky Garden ran from £227.90 for a standing ticket with a glass of champagne up to £3,180 for the top tier. For New Year's Eve 2024, the Standard's round-up of New Year's Eve dinner parties reported open-bar packages priced by champagne house: £595 per person with Ruinart or £725 with Dom Pérignon at one Mayfair restaurant.

None of those are 2026 prices. As of October 2026, most London clubs have not announced their New Year's Eve 2026 packages; they usually appear from October into November. Our guide to bottle service packages explains the package format in more detail.

Prepayment, deposits and cancellation

The biggest practical change is when you pay. On a normal night a deposit secures the table and the balance is settled on the night. On New Year's Eve, full payment in advance is common, and some venues ask for 100% upfront on peak dates, as our guide to bottle service deposits explains.

Before you pay, get clear answers to four questions:

  • Is the payment refundable, and until when? New Year's Eve terms are often stricter than normal-night terms, and a cancellation window that exists in March may not exist in December.
  • Can the booking be transferred? If one guest drops out, can someone else take the place, and does the lead name need to change?
  • Who must be present? Many venues require the person who booked to arrive with the group, and some ask for the payment card or matching ID.
  • What happens if numbers change? A package priced for eight may not be divisible if six arrive.

Collect the group's money before you commit, so nobody is chasing payments in January.

What to check in a New Year's Eve package

A package price only means something once you know what is inside it. Ask for the contents in writing and check:

  • The bottles by name and size. A standard bottle and a magnum of the same champagne are very different values.
  • Mixers and soft drinks. Whether they are unlimited or counted.
  • The midnight bottle. Whether the champagne for the countdown is included or extra.
  • Entry. How many guests the package admits, and whether extra guests pay a separate ticket.
  • Service charge and fees. Whether the quoted price already includes service charge and any booking fee. Our guide to service charge on bottle service explains how it usually works.
  • Food. Whether there is a set menu, and whether dietary requirements can be met on the night.
  • Finish time and table time. When the table is yours from and until.

If a venue offers either a package or a minimum spend, compare them on the same basis: what your group would actually drink, plus service charge, against the package total.

Timing on the night

New Year's Eve compresses the night around one moment. A few timing details change how the table works:

  • Arrival windows are firmer. Venues fill early on New Year's Eve, and a table held for a late arrival on a normal Saturday may be released sooner. Confirm the latest arrival time for your booking.
  • Order the midnight bottle in advance. Every table wants champagne at the same moment, and the servers are busiest in the minutes before midnight. Ask for it to arrive at around a quarter to twelve.
  • Pace the bottles. A package often brings several bottles at once. Ask whether they can be served through the night rather than all at the start.

Our guide to how far in advance to book bottle service explains why New Year's Eve sells through October and early November, earlier than any other date in the calendar.

Budgeting for the night

Start from the venue's normal-night figures and treat them as a floor, not a forecast. A £1,000 floor table shared by eight guests is £125 each on a standard night; on New Year's Eve, expect the package for the same table to cost more, and get the actual 2026 figure in writing before anyone pays.

Then add the costs that only New Year's Eve has. Black cabs add a £4 surcharge between 8pm on 31 December and 6am on 2 January, according to TfL's taxi fares page as of October 2026, and ride app prices rise with demand straight after midnight. If dinner is not in the package, budget for it separately and book it close to the venue.

The short version

New Year's Eve bottle service is a prepaid event rather than a flexible table. Know the format, get the contents and the cancellation terms in writing, pay only once the group has paid you, and plan the midnight bottle before the night starts. Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is bottle service on New Year's Eve in London?

Venues price New Year's Eve as an event, so the 2026 figures depend on each venue's package, and most had not announced them as of October 2026. Our standard 2026 price guide starts at around £600 to £1,000 for a floor table on a normal night; expect New Year's Eve packages for the same table to cost more.

Do you have to pay in full for a New Year's Eve table?

Often, yes. Full prepayment is common on New Year's Eve, and some venues ask for 100% upfront on peak dates. Check whether the payment is refundable or transferable before you pay.

What does a New Year's Eve bottle package include?

Usually named bottles, mixers and entry for a set number of guests, sometimes with a set menu or a midnight champagne toast. Ask for the contents in writing, including bottle sizes and whether service charge is included.

When do London clubs release New Year's Eve table packages?

Usually from October into November. New Year's Eve sells earlier than any other date, so enquire as soon as packages are announced.

When should the champagne arrive for midnight?

Ask for the midnight bottle to be brought to the table at around a quarter to twelve. Every table wants champagne at the same moment, and servers are busiest just before the countdown.
